Looking for a way to help while staying at home?

You can! Help us sew masks to give to healthcare providers.
Well, here we are. In the beginning of what looks to be a long battle in decreasing the effects of the coronavirus worldwide. As a physician, I get to work on the front lines, like so many in healthcare, but I know there are a lot of people out there who are looking to help out but are stuck at home. I've had family members reach out and ask how they can help after hearing of shortages of masks.
“Looking for a way to help during this crisis? You can and it's as easy as making a mask.”
It's simple. We can all make masks. We might not be able to use them right away as some hospitals are not allowing their staff to use them yet, but if the situation gets dire, we will be able to and the CDC even recommended using bandanas as a form of protection in the worst case scenario.
I hope we don't get to the point where we are out of masks but it's better to be prepared. So, if you can, please consider helping by making masks to donate to our local hospitals and nursing homes.
